2022 Update: Joey purchased the following equipment and used it this season: Elan Ripstick 96 Black Edition skis with Marker Griffon 13 ID bindings, Tecnica Mach 1 MV 110 boots, Glade Quad goggles, and Columbia jacket. The skis are every bit as awesome as expected. The boots compliment the skis providing the stiffness needed to transfer all the energy to the skis. The goggles are the best I’ve ever had. And the jacket isn’t only the best bang for the buck, it is lightweight, warm and comfortable.

2021 update: Joey has tried several new skis over the past three years. Some favorites are Rossignol Experience 88 Ti, Nordica Enforcer 94, and the Head Kore 93. The Blizzard Rustler 9 and Salomon QST 92 were fun, but not favorites. My most favorite ski this year was the Elan Ripstick 96. Since I like to go fast I found the Amphibio asymmetric design complimented my style better than any other ski. The longer inner edge gave it power, speed and control while the more rockered outer edge enabled easier turn initiation and less chance of catching an edge in crud. I have preordered the 2022 Black Edition, I didn’t want to miss out as i suspect they will sell quickly like they did earlier in 2021.
